Here is how to enable WhatsApp Chat Lock feature

WhatsApp rolled out the new Chat Lock feature for everyone and it is now visible on a user’s profile section. The new update lets anyone put a lock to specific WhatsApp chats, which no one will be able to check out. This feature would be helpful in times when you need to hand over the device
to a stranger for some work and you don’t want that person to read your personal chats.

The new WhatsApp Chat Lock option also automatically hides the contents of the chat in notifications too, which means that your privacy is protected. The platform notifies about the new messages from locked chats by just saying you have a new message from a chat. But, when you open the app, you don’t see the new message because it is hidden in the Locked folder. Hence, your privacy is protected.

Here is how to enable WhatsApp Chat Lock feature

Step 1: Open WhatsApp and go to the specific chat that you want to put a lock.

Step 2: Visit the profile section of the chat.

Step 3: Scroll down and tap on Chat Lock option > enable it.

Step 4: Lock the chat using your phone’s registered fingerprint. You are all set now.

Note: Your locked chats will be visible in the Locked Chats section, which will be visible on the top of the main WhatsApp page.
