Here's how you can book a season ticket with IRCTC UTS app

If you travel on local trains regularly, you should get a season ticket in order to save some money. A one-way ticket on the local train between Andheri and Churchgate in Mumbai costs Rs 10 in second class and Rs 105 in first class.
A monthly pass, however, costs Rs 215 and Rs 650 respectively. This pass allows you to travel as many times as you want between those two stations.

A season ticket is much more economical. While you can't just log onto IRCTC to buy a season ticket, the UTS app, however, allows you to do so. You can even display the ticket on the UTS app which means that you dont need to carry a printed copy of a season ticket. You can purchase a season ticket for up to one year.

It is to be noted that you can book a paper season ticket on the UTS app, which needs to be printed at a kiosk at the railway station. You can book paperless tickets via the app which requires no printing whatsoever.

Here's how you can buy a season ticket via the UTS app.

Step 1. Download the UTS and open it.

Step 2. Click the Login button and enter your credentials.

Step 3. Once you are logged in, tap on 'Book Ticket'.

Step 4. Tap Season Ticket and then select the 'Book & Travel (Paperless) option'.

Step 9. 'Tap Get Fare' and select a payment gateway. Check all the details once and then tap 'Book Ticket'. Read the "undertaking from season ticket holder” and tap 'Accept'.
