Vodafone Rs 159 plan gives 1GBdata per day

Vodafone has rolled out a new plan for its prepaid subscribers. The company has rolled out a plan of Rs 159 for its users. With the new plan the company aims to give competition to Reliance Jio and Airtel.

Under Rs 159 plan, Vodafone offers 1GB data per
day with 100 SMS and unlimited local and STD calling. The unlimited calling has the daily FUP limit of 250 minutes. This means that the Vodafone subscribers are allowed to make calls of up to 250 minutes per day and 1,000 minutes per week. In case the user exhausts this limit then they will have to pay for the calls they make.

This new plan from Vodafone comes with the validity of 28 days.

With this new plan, Vodafone wants to compete against Rs 149 plan of Reliance Jio and Airtel. The Mukesh Ambani-owned telecom operator offers unlimited local and STD calling with 100 SMS per day under Rs 149 plan. The plan offers a 1.5GB data per day and is valid for the period of 28 days. On the other hand, Airtel offers unlimited national and local calling with 100 SMS and 1GB data per day. This plan also comes with the validity of 28 days.

The interesting thing to note here is that both Reliance Jio and Airtel have not set any FUP limit for their respective plans. This means users don’t have to worry about any limit on calling minutes.

Last week, it was reported that Vodafone has increased the prices of its international roaming plans -- iRoamFree for its postpaid users. The iRoamFree plans of the service provider offers unlimited data and calling in 20 countries and limited data and free incoming calls in 46 countries. The service provider offers four iRoamFree plans starting at Rs 500.
