Facebook Dating Is Rolling Out, here is how to find love of your life

Social media giant has started testing Facebook Dating in Columbia as it had been announced the same this year in May at F8 conference.

Facebook Dating is now available
but open for limited users all the way. Here are some key details revealed by Facebook over their dating and we explain them here....

Facebook Dating is only available in Columbia and users gets a prompt on their profile page, asking them to opt into the Facebook Dating feature.

Facebook Dating feature is only offered to users who are 18 or older. Also, apparently the users must have their relationship status set to "single".

Facing Dating will only be available in the mobile app of Facebook.

Post opting for Facebook Dating, you will have to create a dating profile on the site. Facebook is handholding the users here and has simplified the whole process in significant ways.

You need to build dating profile, users will have to provide their location through the phone's GPS location. For dating feature the location will be automatically ascertained by the Facebook app and your dating matches will be limited to 100kms around you.

Users who are building their profile need to provide information on workplace, education, religion, height, and whether they have kids or not. They will also have to select 10 odd photos from the pictures in which they are tagged on Facebook. And to build a personality profile, Facebook Dating will ask users to answer 20 generic questions like "What song always makes you sing along".

After building, Facebook Dating profile has been created, Facebook algorithms will use all the data they have on you to understand you better and offer relevant matches. Facebook says that users will see matches from strangers (other Facebook users who you don't know) as well as from Friends of Friends. But your Facebook Friends, or people who you have blocked on Facebook, will never appear in your Matches.

Facebook will show up to 100 matches per day.

Once you find a match, send your "match" a message. You will be able to send only one text message and then you will have to wait for your match to respond before you can send another message. If the reply comes in, the chat will move to People Conversation tab and you will be able to chat to and fro like on Tinder.

Once you send a message to a "match" you won't be able to see that "match" or his or her profile again until you get a reply back. In case you don't want to send any message to the "match" but also want to move to the next match, you will have option of telling Facebook Dating that you are not interested in that person.
