Centre allows all private hospitals to operate Covid-19 vaccine - At this price


Union Health Ministry has started vaccination drive of the deadly coronavirus disease started pan-India on January 16, 2021, about 2 weeks after the drug regulator gave green light to the emergency use of the two Indian vaccines, Covishield and Covaxin.


The second phase of the vaccination drive against the disease has begun on March 1, 2021.


As per the Central Government, all the states and Union territories have been asked to employ 100% of the capacities of private hospitals that are functioning as Covid Vaccination Centres (CVCs). Max Price Should Be Rs 250/Dose


A statement has been issued by the health ministry, which states, “Private hospitals not empanelled under Ayushman Bharat- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), central government health scheme (CGHS), and State Health Insurance Schemes have also been permitted to operate as CVCs if they have an adequate number of vaccinators, adequate space for observation of the vaccinated, adequate cold chain arrangement and adequate arrangement for the management of AEFI.”


No Shortage Of Vaccines; Adequate Dosages to Be Provided By The Government


The health ministry has also stated that there is no shortage of COVID-19 vaccines and has also directed that sufficient vaccine doses should be allocated to the CVCs. The health ministry has also announced that no state or union territory should store, reserve, conserve, or create a buffer stock of the COVID-19 vaccines at state or district levels.


As per the statement, there is enough stock with the Central Government and the necessary vaccine doses will be provided to the States and the UTs.
