Want to download e-PAN card - Here's a step-wise to do so

If you are withdrawing over Rs 50,000 from the bank account or depositing more than Rs 50,000 in the account, then it is mandatory for a person to quote his or her PAN (permanent account number). 

According to the Central Board of Direct Taxes'
(CBDT) order, the e-PAN (electronically issued) and physical PAN cards to be treated at par. It may be noted that the people who have applied a fresh PAN can download e-PAN free of cost, while others have to pay a fee of Rs 8.26.

It can be downloaded from NSDL (National Securities Depository Limited) or UTITSL (UTI Infrastructure Technology And Services Limited) portal. Both of these are authorised by the Income-tax (I-T) department to issue PAN. One can download ePAN from their websites.
How to download e-PAN from NSDL portal: -
For PAN alloted in last 30 days

1.Visit NSDL-TIN portal

Go to NSDL-TIN portal- https://www.tin-nsdl.com/ and click on 'Download e-PAN card (For PAN alloted in last 30 days)' tab.

2. Download e-PAN

A new page 'Download e-PAN' will open. Now enter your acknowledgment number and captcha code. Click on 'submit' button

3. Select any one option

Three options such as E-mail ID, Mobile number, or Both will be available to receive OTP (one time password). Selct anyone option and click 'Generate OTP'.

4. Download PDF

After receiving the OTP, click on 'Validate' button. Upon successful validation, now click on 'Download PDF'. The downloaded PDF will be password protected. Your password to open this would be your date of birth in DDMMYYYY format.
e-PAN from NSDL portal :-
For PAN alloted older or more than 30 days

1. Visit NSDL-TIN portal

Go to NSDL-TIN portal- https://www.tin-nsdl.com/ and click on 'Download e-PAN card (For PAN alloted older or more than 30 days)' tab.

2. Enter your details

On the page opened, you need to enter details such as PAN, month and year of birth, GSTN (this option would be optional). Now click on 'Submit' tab.

3. Download e-PAN

Once you click on 'Submit', you can download your e-PAN card.
How to download e-PAN from UTIITSL portal :-
People who have applied for a fresh PAN or made changes in PAN through UTIITSL portal can download their e-PAN by mentinoning PAN and date of birth.

1.Visit UTIITSL website

Go to UTIISL portal- https://www.myutiitsl.com/PAN_ONLINE/ePANCard. 

2. Enter your details

You need to mention your details such as PAN, date of birth and then enter the given captcha. Click 'Submit'.

3.Enter OTP

On successful submission, a link will be sent to your registered mobile number via SMS or to your e-mail ID. In order to download the e-PAN card, enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number or e-mail ID.
