How to book up to 12 train tickets in 1 month by linking Aadhaar with IRCTC account

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) provides the facility of group bookings under which an individual can book/reserve up to 12 train tickets in a month by linking the Aadhaar card with the IRCTC account. The tickets can be
booked by the IRCTC e-ticketing website upon the successful verification of respective Aadhaar card number. In order to book 12 train tickets in a month, a user is required to have an Aadhaar verified IRCTC account along with at least one passenger being verified through Aadhaar.

According to IRCTC, users are required to verify the probable passengers through their respective Aadhaar number and store the verified passengers in passenger master list. This should be done before starting the train ticket booking process via IRCTC website if the passenger is willing to book more than 6 train tickets in a month. User can add Aadhaar verified passenger from the master list at the time of booking to reserve additional tickets up to 12 train tickets in a month.

How to book up to 12 train tickets in 1 month

Step 1: Login with the registered IRCTC ID and password on the IRCTC e-ticketing website, www.irctc.co.in. 
Step 2: Enter the journey details such as source station, destination station, date of journey, train class, quota (if applicable).
Step 3: Check seat availability and proceed for the booking. 
Step 4: Click on ‘My Saved Passenger(s) List’ and select the Aadhaar Verified passenger from the right side panel at the passenger input page. 
Step 5: Review booking details and check the Aadhaar number displayed under ‘Travelling Passengers’.
Step 6: Continue booking after confirming the passenger and travel details. 
Step 7: Select the payment gateway of your choice and continue to the payment page.
Step 8: Ticket booking confirmation page will be displayed on successful payment and virtual tickets will be sent on the IRCTC registered mobile number.

The passenger details will be automatically fetched on the reservation form. Only one of the travelling passengers should be Aadhaar verified and to be selected from My Saved Passenger(s) List. Details of rest passengers can be submitted through the keyboard.
