Applied for Aadhaar card? Here's how to track status

Aadhaar has become one of the most important documents which is used as an identity proof for Indian residents. This 12-digit unique biometric ID is issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). It is used to
verify a person's identification, the permanent address and various other characteristics such as date of birth, mobile number, finger impressions, etc.

If you have applied and still not received then it may be noted that UIDAI on its self-service portal allows the users to track their Aadhaar card status. To check the status you need to keep your acknowledgment slip handy. UIDAI sends an SMS once the Aadhaar is generated on the mobile number provided by you while applying for Aadhaar card.
