Here's how you can activate your SBI ATM, debit card through net banking

ATM, debit cards are one of the most essential parts of the banking system. These allow the accountholders to withdraw money from ATMs, shop online and offline and so much more. Whenever you open a new account, the bank issues an ATM card which has to be activated by swiping it at branch or bank ATM.

If you have opened a new account in State Bank of India recently,
you do not have to visit the bank branch or bank ATM in order to activate your SBI ATM card. You can easily activate your card from the comfort of your room through SBI net banking facility. In order to activate your card through SBI net banking, all you need is your 16-digit ATM number.

Here's a step-by-step guide for you:

1. Visit State Bank of India official website and log in to your net banking account using username and password issued by the bank.

2. Look for "e-Services" section on the website and select "ATM Card Services" option under it.

3. One selected, you will see multiple options in the section. Select "ATM Card Services" option to proceed further. 

4. Select the account from which the ATM card was issued by the bank. In case you only have one account, it would be pre-selected. 

5. You will be required to enter the 16-digit ATM card number twice in the given fields.

6. Once you have correctly entered the ATM card number, click on "Activate".
