Google Assistant will read stories from News app on Android

Google has announced at Google I/O 2018 that is all set to launch more additions to its Assistant app soon and now the time has been arrived.

As of the latest update
Google Assistant Android app allows users to ask Assistant to read news directly from Google news app. With this, users can now be more specific about the story they are looking for or want to listen. They can also ask for a particular beat such as politics, entertainment, sports or specific topics.

Google Assistant powered smartdisplays will display the headline as well as videos and other clips from broadcast, the Google Home smart speakers will read out the briefing from various publishers based upon their region.

This feature works on all the Android phones and tablets, Android Auto and other Google Assistant-powered smartdevices. Currently, this feature is available only in the United States and the company is planning to launch it globally based on users' feedback.
