Sony Xperia M5 dual launched for Rs 37,990

Sony India today has launched new smartphone Xperia M5 Dual in the country for a price of Rs 37,990. The waterproof smartphone is the blend of innovation, style and performance strengthening Sony’s base in smartphone category.

The Xperia M5 Dual features a 5-inch full HD (1080x1920 pixels) display with Mobile Bravia Engine 2, and the slim and superior hardware device is powered by a 2GHz MediaTek Helio X10 processor paired with 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage expandable up to 200GB via compatible microSD card.

The device comes with distinctive style of OmniBalance style in a sleek premium glass finish on both sides, while it also is packed with the stainless steel corners to protect against bumps.

Like several Xperia flagship mobiles, M5 dual also boasts of 21.5-megapixel rear camera with hybrid autofocus and a f/2.2 lens. The rear camera offers 5x image zoom, 4K video recording, auto scene recognition, image stabiliser, and geo-tagging among other features. Sony calls it a selfie-focused smartphone which also has the IP65 and IP68 certification for dust and water protection. The device also has the camera apps like AR mask, Face in picture and Style portrait etc.

On the software front, the Sony Xperia M5 dual runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and supports GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, and 4G (not available in all markets) in connectivity. It packs a 2600mAh battery, and is also features a cap-less USB port. 

Sony has decided not to launch the single-SIM Sony Xperia M5 while Sony has recently unveiled Xperia C5 Ultra Dual was launched in India at Rs. 29,990. The Xperia M5 Dual is meanwhile available in Black and Gold colour variants in Sony Centers, Sony smartphone lounges and leading retail outlets.
